Waikato Montessori Education Centre, Hamilton, New Zealand.

We are looking for expressions of interest from Montessori teachers who would like to be involved in our expanding school. 

We are extending our current 3-6 years programme into the 6-12 years plane and need teacher(s) to support this growth.  If you have Montessori training or experience in either 3-6 years or 6-12 years this is a wonderful opportunity to be involved in planning and establishing a class.  We are planning possibly a new class in each age range. Montessori training is available to supplement New Zealand  qualified teachers. 

We have an independent rural site located on the outskirts of Hamilton City.  The surroundings offer many opportunities for incorporating the natural environment into the programme, including our animals, flora and fauna.   Classrooms are fully resourced.

We seek teachers who are passionate about the fundamentals of Montessori and enjoy the observation of children’s development through these ages.  We operate during school terms and hours – full time or part-time will be considered.

New Plymouth Montessori School, New Plymouth, New Zealand

An exciting opportunity in beautiful New Plymouth.
We are looking for an experienced Montessori trained teacher to head one of our four fully equipped 3-6 classes. 

The successful applicant would ideally have an education which would entitle him/her to gain New Zealand teacher registration, however this is not essential. 

Our casa has been in operation for over 30 years, moving 11 years ago to a purpose built facility on 1.2 hectares of land.  Each classroom has approximately 25 children and three teachers, with at least the head teacher having a Montessori qualification. In addition, we have two outdoor teachers and a resource assistant.

The position is available from early 2010.

There is a strong commitment to quality Montessori within a very supportive community.  The teaching team is enthusiastic, dedicated and professional.
